Here is a more detailed description of the therapeutic modalities Vicki uses at Harmony Health Center. Ecology within the Triangle of HealthThe word "ecology" pertains to an enviroment, the animals, plants, and other living organisms- including humans-who live there, and the food chain that connects them. Ecology involves the relationships between those organisms and their environment, which includes physical properties such as sunlight, climate, geology, and biotic factors, which are other organisms that share it's habitat. The word "ecology' is often used more loosely as a synonym for the natural environment or enviromentalism. Likewise "ecological" is often taken in the sense of " environmentally freindly."
If we are concerned about ecology and saving the environment, we must be concerned about the ecology within first. We are vibrational beings. When we come into human form, we vibrate at a constant frequency that is appropriate for us. When we out of this vibration, we experience dis-ease. Dis-ease is a result of our moving out of balance with our life's purpose in relation to our ecology within our environment, both internally and externally.
If we are experiencing discomfort or disease, it is a signal to us that something within our whole ecological system has moved out of alignment with it’s natural flow. To find the right path toward healing,we must look at our body holistically. TheTtriangle of Health provides a model for this holistic assessment. It is made up of three main aspects of our ecological system: our Biochemical, Structural and Emotional/Spiritual sides. We can not heal work on only one side, by treating symptoms and ignoring the other dimensions. All of our energies need to be brought into harmony, working together, for us to be healthy and whole.
Here is a Description of the three sides of the Triangle of Health:

For us to be healthy, purposeful, productive and joyful, we must be balanced on all three sides equally!Integrated BodyworkWhen Vicki engages in hands-on body/energy work, the intuiting begins. The session moves into a natural flow of balancing, governed by the mind/body language of the client.
The intent of the Integrated Bodywork session is to release blockages wherever they reside within the tissue and the energy of the body. This often calls for the integration and blend of more than one technique — such as Trager, CranioSacral, Shiatsu, Thai Massage, Reflexology and Energy Healing — in a way that meets the needs the body is calling for.
ReflexologyReflexology is a serious advance in the health field and should not be confused with massage. It is a science based on the principle that there are reflex areas in the feet and hands that correspond to all the glands, organs and other parts of the body. Stimulating these reflexes properly can help many health problems in a natural way, and act as a type of preventative maintenance. Only the practitioner’s hands are used, making it a safe, simple, yet effective method without the use of gadgets.
The idea behind Reflexology is not new — in fact, it was practiced as early as 2330 B.C. by the Egyptian culture. Reflexology as we know it today was first researched and developed by Eunice Ingham, whose pioneering book on the subject was published in 1938. Since 1942, Reflexology workshops based on her work have been conducted year round throughout the world
The Ingham Method® of Reflexology is the combined work of the late Ms. Ingham and her nephew, Dwight C. Byers, the world's leading authority on Foot Reflexology. Mr. Byers, director of the International Institute of Reflexology®, and his hand-picked instructors, conduct ongoing workshops on a worldwide scale for both laymen and professionals.
The Ingham Method® is used primarily for relaxing tension. Doctors agree that over 75% of our health problems can be linked to nervous stress and tension. Reflexology improves nerve and blood supply, and helps nature to normalize. For more information about IIR, please go to www.reflexology-usa.net.
TragerThe Trager® Approach was discovered by Milton Trager M.D., in the 1920s, when as an 18-year-old he first experienced intuitive bodywork that had lasting positive results. He became a lay practitioner, and later a medical doctor, and then began teaching his work. Today there are thousands of certified Trager® Approach practitioners around the world.
The Trager® Approach helps release deep-seated physical and mental patterns and facilitates deep relaxation, increased mobility and mental clarity. Many people seek Trager® sessions for personal growth or increased feelings of joy and wellness. The Trager® Approach has also been reported to ease or manage a wide range of conditions, including the following:
The second aspect of the Trager® Approach, called Mentastics®, involves instruction in the use of self-care movements. Dr. Trager developed these simple, effortless movements to encourage playful exploration of "what could be freer" for your body. Mentastics® can become part of the way you take care of yourself and relieve stress and tension. Integrating Mentastics® into your daily life will allow you to enhance and recall feelings of ease, freedom, flexibility and joy.
Mentastics® is taught in both private sessions and group classes. For more information, please visit www.trager.com.
CranioSacral Therapy (CST)CranioSacral Therapy (CST) CST was pioneered and developed by osteopathic physician John E. Upledger following extensive scientific studies from 1975 to 1983 at Michigan State University, where he served as a clinical researcher and Professor of Biomechanics. CST is a gentle, hands-on method of evaluating and enhancing the functioning of a physiological body system called the craniosacral system, which is composed of the membranes and cerebrospinal fluid that surround and protect the brain and spinal cord. Using a soft touch generally no greater than 5 grams, or about the weight of a nickel, practitioners release restrictions in the craniosacral system to improve the functioning of the central nervous system.
By complementing the body's natural healing processes, CST is increasingly used as a preventive health measure for its ability to bolster resistance to disease. It is effective for a wide range of medical problems associated with pain and dysfunction, including the following:
SomatoEmotional Release (SER)SomatoEmotional Release (SER) is a therapeutic process that uses and expands on the principles of CranioSacral Therapy (CST) to help rid the mind and body of the residual effects of trauma. SER offers applications designed to enhance results using CST and other complementary therapies.
SER can help to…
ShiatsuFrom shi, meaning finger, and atsu, meaning pressure), shiatsu is a traditional hands-on therapy originating in Japan. Shiatsu is an evolving form of therapy, and incorporates aspects of Japanese massage traditions, Chinese Medicine practice, and "Western" anatomy and physiology.
Shiatsu technique refers to the use of fingers and palm of one's hand to apply pressure to particular sections on the surface of the body for the purpose of correcting the imbalances of the body, and for maintaining and promoting health. It also contributes to the healing of specific illnesses. The characteristic of shiatsu, as defined by Namikoshi, is to apply pressure using only the fingers, palms and especially the thumbs, on points that have been related to the central and autonomic nervous systems.
Masanuga, who identified reflections of the acupuncture channels in the arms and legs, advised that a shiatsu treatment should…
Thai MassageThai massage is a type of massage style that involves stretching and deep massage. This form of bodywork is usually performed on the floor, and the client wears comfortable clothes that allow for movement. No oils are used in Thai massage.
Generally speaking, practitioners of modern Thai massage operate on the theory that the body is permeated with "lom," or "air," which is inhaled into the lungs and which subsequently travels throughout the body along 72,000 pathways called "sen," or "vessels." Typically, massage therapists manipulate a handful of major sen lines by pressing certain points along the lines. In most models, the sen originate at the navel and spread throughout the body to terminate at the orifices.
A significant part of the practice of Thai massage also includes yoga-like stretches that are intended to stimulate the sen and move lom through the body via a pumping action that is connected with the patient's breathing. The theory of sen and lom is often translated into English as "meridians" and "energy." While there are some superficial similarities to Chinese meridian theory, the Thai system is markedly different, as the sen are unconnected from the internal organs.
Intention Muscle MassageIntention Muscle massage is a combination of deep muscle massage with isometrics and applied kinesiology.
Behavioral KinesiologyFor years, the traditional medical model was to let others fix us and govern our decisions for healing. Today, many people are listening to their own “inner physician” and learning the power of self- reliance and intuition. They are becoming proactive in their healing process mentally, physically and spiritually. We are living longer because we’re examining alternative choices and making informed treatment decisions.
We go about our day with our mind operating at a 5% conscious awareness, while 95% of our awareness remains at a subconscious level; yet that during a lifetime, our energy body absorbs every infinitesimal piece of data it encounters. Every thought and sensory perception we experience, positive or negative, carries a vibrational frequency that becomes embedded in us. This process is called “cellular memory.” Cellular memory can be thought of as an “omniscience” that exists inside all of, and that has the ability to balance and harmonize the discord that causes “dis-ease.” Whether we are ailing physically, mentally, emotionally or spiritually, each of us is energetically empowered to orchestrate our own well-being. By tapping into the brilliant intelligence of cellular memory, through the tool called muscle testing or kinesiology, we can open a window to the body and mind that is uncluttered by conscious thought.
Since the 1930s, pioneers such as Dr. George Goodheart, Dr. John F. Thei, and John Diamond have paved the way to develop the science of kinesiology, which combines Western medical discoveries with the ancient wisdom of Chinese Medicine and Meridian Theory. This unique system involves a biofeedback tool that combines elements of energy work, neuroscience and holistic research through “muscle testing.” This unveils the subconscious mind and leads directly to the source of our innate intelligence. Inspired practitioners, including psychologists, educators, corporate managers, therapists, doctors and lay people in 62 countries around the world, have become a part of this expanding consciousness to help individuals build the confidence and skill to get in touch with their cells for the purpose of self-healing.
For every vibrational action there is a cellular reaction. On a cellular level, that vibration either begins to energetically regenerate, rejuvenate, move us into the creative process or breaks us down and blocks us. Whatever the reaction, our cells store that response indefinitely and proceed to replicate it. When an initial response results in disharmony, we struggle with repetitive and compounding energetic patterns.” Muscle testing offers a way to assess, reverse and re-pattern the cells toward restoring health, balance and vibrancy. All the answers you have ever sought to bring about balance lie within this energetic electrical network that surrounds you and is stored within you. All you need is a method and an awareness of how to access it. The journey begins with kinesiology, which Vicki teaches through private sessions and group workshops.
Muscle Testing/Touch for HealthTouch for Health (TFH) is a safe and simple system of Balancing that uses muscle testing as a biofeedback tool. This helps to identify imbalances in the body's energy system physically, emotionally and mentally. TFH accesses the body's innate wisdom and then offers multiple balancing techniques that activate the body’s own intrinsic healing process.
TFH blends of ancient Meridian Theory and Modern Holistic discovery. This includes acupressure, reflex stimulation, meridian tracing and a variety of mind-body techniques for balancing subtle body energies in harmony with personal intention.
Common benefits of TFH include the following:

Meridian BalancingThere are 14 channels along which the energy, or qi, of the psychophysical system is considered to flow. Such techniques such as meridian balancing are said to achieve their effects by manipulation and, ideally, balancing of the energy running through the network of complex bodily patterns.
The 12 standard meridians go along the arms and the legs. They are Lung, Large Intestine, Stomach, Spleen, Heart, Small Intestine, Urinary Bladder, Kidney, Pericardium, Triple Warmer (a.k.a. Triple Heater), Gall Bladder, and Liver. Then there are two others — Governing and Central.
Meridians are divided into Yin and Yang groups. The Yin meridians of the arm are Lung, Heart, and Pericardium. The Yang meridians of the arm are Large Intestine, Small Intestine, and Triple Warmer. The Yin Meridians of the leg are Spleen, Kidney, and Liver. The Yang meridians of the leg are Stomach, Bladder, and Gall Bladder.
Chakra BalancingChakras are energy centers in and outside of the physical body. They receive, assimilate and express life force energy. Chakras open, close, expand and clear based on how we live our lives. Each chakra embodies different aspects which, when understood and utilized, can accelerate personal growth.
Aura ImagingEverything is made of energy and vibrations. That’s why everything has an aura. An aura is an egg-shaped, electromagnetic energy field around each of us that reflects the subtle life energies within the body and the body's spirit energy. It reflects our health, mental activity and emotional state. It also shows disease, often long before the onset of symptoms.
There have been various attempts to photograph the aura. Aura photography was first experimented with by scientist Nicola Tesla in the 1890s. The Soviet Union included aura photography in the psychic research it conducted in the 1960s. In 1975, the University of California at Los Angeles was able to measure auras with great accuracy. Kirlian, a Russian technician, was repairing equipment in a hospital when he noticed something unusual. He later found that through the interaction of electric currents and photographic plates, imprints of living organisms developed on film. Kirlian and his wife developed the aura photography process in 1939. They call it the "Kirlian Effect" (pronounced keer-lee-an) In the late 1940s, the Russians began serious research, but it was not until the 1970s that Kirlian photography research began in the United States. Kirlian photography involves the transference of a high-frequency charge through a metal plate attached to a Polaroid film camera base. The fingertips are lightly placed on the film, which is encased in a light-tight bag, and an electric exposure is made. Sixty seconds later, after the film develops, the Kirlian photograph is complete and the subject's energy field is revealed.
A basic aura looks like two- to three-inch layer of light covering the body; however, it can extend, and you can see colors in the extended part. There are many different colored bands in a person’s aura. The color of the aura is based on frequency (cycles/second) of light energy. For this reason, the aura may, and often does, change color, as the movement of light particles in the auric field responds to external forces. Each color has significance on a physical, emotional, mental and spiritual level.
Vibrational Healing and Sound Balance
Quantum physics has embraced the concept that everything in the Universe is in a constant state of vibration. Energy and motion, when slowed down, create matter, including the human form. All of our energy bodies including the physical, etheric, astral, mental and spiritual resonate to a designated frequency. As we move out of harmony, so does the vibration that leads to disease in the corresponding area.
Edgar Cayce predicted that sound healing would become the wave of the future. It has in fact, become used by the medical and alternative fields throughout the world. Vibrational sound healing has been used for centuries in Eastern Ayurvedic medicine to balance the chakras and meridian systems. When we match and introduce the healthy vibration of a particular chakra or aura, it balances and creates a shift in the subtle energies of the body. This allows the environment for energy to mentally, physically, emotionally and spiritually return to harmony and balance.
Having found success in the use of sounds and frequencies in her work with clients, Vicki discovered the disadvantage to using toning bowls, pitch pipes and other CD recordings. These tools didn’t meet her specific needs as a teacher and practitioner. They did not isolate the individual tones long enough to be identified, utilized or assimilated. She wanted the vibrational sounds to resonate long enough to provide the environment for the chakras to align themselves. This allows the healing process to expand.
The health threat of losing her voice to a thyroid tumor launched urgency for Vicki to produce and complete this CD. She began to apply her own program using sound balancing and vibrational healing, which helped her achieve success in her own recovery.
Release Emotional Stress Technique (R.E.S.T.)To develop the Release Emotional Stress Technique (R.E.S.T.), Vicki combined many of the tools that she has gathered in her work experience over the last 30 years. These include courses such as Touch for Health (TFH), pioneered by John F. Thei; One Brain by Gordon Stokes and Daniel Whiteside; Dr. Callahan; Louise Hay; Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) and many more.
This process uses muscle testing to identify old belief patterns and sabotages in the subconscious that no longer serve the client and reactively interfere with activating new desires and intentions. The R.E.S.T. process then diffuses the old belief patterns and replaces them with new patterns of thought and behavior, which in turn create healthy cells that are in harmony with the client’s desires. This allows the client to move from a place of being stuck to freedom, happiness, creativity and growth. This system is used in personal sessions and workshops, and for executive staffs at businesses.
Behavioral RepatterningBehavioral Re-patterning, along with R.E.S.T, Journey work, One Brain and many more forms of emotional freedom work, all involve similar tools for balancing. All are about freedom to live your live as you envision it to be.
We all have a huge reservoir of potential that lies within, waiting to be tapped and released. That part of us is pure and waiting when we are born. Vicki refers to this part of us as source, our innate intelligence. After we are born, we develop what is called the conditioned self, or ego, and the part of us that governs our behavior through the unconscious self, which controls 95% of our consciousness. This part of the unconscious takes in over 4 billion bits of information per second and then is filtered through the lens of our perception. This then determines our behavior, patterns, beliefs, contracts and vows.
When we set forth good intentions — only to find ourselves feeling trapped, limited, paralyzed and sabotaging — it is because this conditioned self, which operates in the present, has more power at times than the will of the 5% conscious mind, which only collects data about the past and future. So, behavioral re-patterning is a system using muscle testing to tap into source, the infinite wisdom within and the root of our challenges. This is a five-step process. No matter how long we have had a challenge, addiction, illness or resistance of any kind or how painful it has been, that doesn’t mean it has to difficult or painful to release; it can be simple and easy.
The five steps are as follows:
Journey WorkThis is a process of releasing memories stored in the cells and emotional patterns that are no longer needed, and then restoring the client to full potential and freedom. For more information, please go to www.thejourneyusa.com.
Spiritual/Life Path CoachingWe don’t have to look outside ourselves for the resources to fall into the natural flow of our life direction; they lie within. Spiritual/life path coaching implements the power of muscle testing to access the cellular subconscious to find the answers to all the client’s questions.
This unique way of coaching helps you to identify, organize, prioritize and align yourself with your higher purpose. When we experience this kind of congruency and clarity, it allows us to life a life of fuller joy creativity and freedom.
Business and Executive CoachingBusiness and executive coaching involve the same process as spiritual/life path coaching. Private sessions are available to help clients address personal challenges as well as those related to career and professional environment. The coaching can also can be experienced in a group workshop setting, helping people to identify blocks that may be stifling creativity and productivity.
Individuals and groups all learn self-help tools to tap into their own natural resources and wisdom. They learn to release and reverse resistance and unhealthy patterns that keep them from experiencing abundance, and then incorporate “vision questing” to initiate new steps toward a positive direction.
Nutritional Muscle Testing, Evaluation and CoachingWe are what we eat and think, so we want to use those elements to create, for and of ourselves, the most positive reality possible. That’s where a nutritional energy evaluation can be highly beneficial. A nutritional energy evaluation is done through muscle testing to ask the body’s wisdom about which program is needed to help bring the body and its personal ecology into balance with all of its meridian systems.
Each program is individual and unique. It may involve cleansing, detoxifying and rebuilding. This is accomplished by establishing a good foundation of natural nourishment that is harmony with your body’s rhythm and the laws of nature, and includes such basics as hydration, breathing, movement and live foods. It may also involve education about healthy eating; establishing some new lifestyle habits; and learning the principles of alkalinity, cleansing, food combining and food preparation.
My favorite affirmation, which I love to encourage in relation to this process is, “When I take care of myself first, all others benefit.”
CleansingWe are all exposed to many types of toxins — some are imposed by the environment and others are self-inflicted. Toxins come from the water we drink and bathe in, the air we breathe, the chemicals in our food and the products we put on and in our body.
Toxins are cumulative, and negatively affect our systems of elimination, including kidneys, liver, colon and skin. Our elimination systems become overloaded and when toxins can’t be removed from the body they get re-absorbed by it, leading to toxicity, acidity and disease.
Vicki encourages education about seasonal cleansing. Become aware of the needs of your body so you can recognize when it is time to let the body rest, cleanse and restore.
Asyra Body and System Evaluation, Report and BalanceComing soon
Asyra is a system that uses hand-held electrodes to measures the body's energetic signatures, or energy fields, similarly to the way muscle testing does. The Asyra system's electrodermal testing can pick up the energy signature of a disease well before it can be found through conventional medical testing.
Asyra evaluates imbalances in energy frequencies that correspond with physical disturbances and illnesses. Based on this information, Vicki suggests the appropriate treatments and balancing to restore the client’s well-being. For more information, please go to www.asyra.com.
Sauna and Detox ProcessesMedical research has shown that chemicals and toxins are stored in our fatty tissue and can remain there for many years. The more we accumulate, the more difficult it is to get rid of them. Many of these chemicals — including prescription drugs, street drugs, alcohol, sugar, glutamates, chlorine, fluoride, aspartame, pesticides, hormones, and antibiotics — affect and alter our brain chemistry and neurotransmitters. Some, known as excitotoxins, speed up the rate of cellular metabolism to the point that cells begin to die. This leads to an array of diseases, including diabetes, Alzheimer’s, autoimmune disorders, Multiple Sclerosis and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome.
You can see why it’s so important to remove these dangerous substances from the body through a safe, natural detoxification process. The problem is, as the natural process of detoxing begins, the chemicals are released out of the fatty tissue back into the bloodstream. They travel back to the brain, where chemicals such as endorphins are released again — a cycle that can create a craving for the very substance the body is trying to get rid of! This explains, from a biochemical standpoint, why addictions are so hard to break.
Using a sauna can help in the removal of toxins while avoiding this unintentional effect of the detox process. Both dry heat and infrared sauna programs can expedite the release of toxins, by opening up circulation and then allowing the body to sweat out the toxins through the skin. A good sauna program has been known to reduce several years of detoxing down to only one month!
DisclaimerMuscle Testing is not used for a medical diagnosis and is not a substitute for medical treatment. It is important to see a physician for any serious medical conditions.
